Step 1:
Start with two StreetGlow I-Design Scanners and the two side door marker lights. The I-Design Scanners are available
in a variety of colors. If you have a 2002-2004 Avalanche your front and rear doors are wired with lights. If you have
a 2005 the rear doors are just reflectors and aren't lighted.

 |
Step 2:
Use your favorite powered sanding tool and dig out some of the door marker.
If you leave the little notches on top you'll be able to put the factory
lights back someday. The one on the left is the finished project and the one
on the right hasn't been modified at all.

 |
Step 3:
Door with the marker and bulb removed. You can pry from the outside to remove it
without removing the whole door panel.
|
 |
Step 4:
Strip back the insulation in two spots so that you can connect the LED Scanner.
|
 |
Step 5:
Slide the LED Scanner into the door marker and stuff the included wire in behind it
to hold it into place. Use a piece of electrical tape to hold it all inside.
Attach the blue and black wires from the LED Scanner to the white wire in the door.
Attach the yellow wire from the LED Scanner to the orange wire in the door.
|
 |
Step 6:
Put the marker back in place by putting the inside end in first, and then push the outside
end into the door until it's flush.
|
|
Step 7:
All done! Enjoy! Should take about 10 minutes per door total.
