SportWing Spoiler
Step 1:

Remove the SportWing from its packaging, setup your work area and clean the top of your sail panels so that it's nice and clean and dirt free.
Step 2:

Remove the second screw towards the center on both sides of the Avalanche. If you plan on keeping the SportWing on forever you can discard these screws, otherwise toss them in a box somewhere should you ever need them again.
Step 3:

Do a quick test fitting of the SportWing. Get an idea of how it fits on the Avalanche. Be sure to check the screw holes on both sides and see how they line up. The closer you get it on your first try once the double-sided tape is exposed the easier life will be.
Step 4:

Carefully turn the SportWing over and make sure that the bottom is clean and there aren't any bugs walking around on it.
Step 5:

Expose the double-sided tape. If at all possible try not to touch the exposed tape.
Step 6:

Apply the SportWing and get it lined up as well as possible. Get both of the screws that came with your SportWing started to see if they fit in the holes and line up properly.
Step 7:

If all is well, press the SportWing down carefully to try and get a good seal on the tape. Carefully screw the screws in so that they hold the SportWing in place. You do not need to tighten them all the way. If you look at the SportWing at an angle while you're tightening the screws you will see the SportWing start to bend when the screw gets tight. I tighten mine just enough that there's a very slight bend, but you can do whatever you're comfortable with.
Step 8:

Inspect the SportWing and make sure that it's fitting correctly. If needed remove the screws and make adjustments.

Step 9:

That's it, enjoy!

IMHO, the SportWing Spoiler is one of the easiest and best value mods available for the Avalanche. Not only does it look great, but it's functional too. It keeps a significant amount of rain off the rear window and if you live in a colder climiate it keeps snow and ice from sliding off the roof and onto the bed. It also enhances the glow from the third brake light.

The SportWing Spoiler is available for purchase directly from SportWing. You can order it primed or they'll paint it to match your Avalanche.

* NOTE: This SportWing Spoiler was provided to me as a gift from SportWing at the Savannah-Tybee Island GTG. It has since been repainted from its original Light Pewter Metallic color and is now Sunburst Orange II Metallic.
